Your questions about converting images to layered PSDs answered.
What file types can you convert to PSD?
I can convert most common flat image formats, including JPG/JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP, GIF (static), and WebP, into layered PSD files.
Can any image be perfectly converted to a layered PSD?
The quality and complexity of the original image significantly impact the result. Simple graphics with distinct elements convert better than highly complex photos with intricate overlaps or low resolution. I manually reconstruct layers, so very complex scenes may require more time or might not achieve perfect separation for every tiny detail.
Will text in my image become editable text layers?
If the text is clear and uses a standard or identifiable font, I will recreate it as an editable text layer in the PSD. If the font is very obscure or the text is distorted/low-res, it might be recreated as a shape layer or remain part of an image layer.
What if my image quality is low?
Converting a low-resolution image will result in a low-resolution layered PSD. The process doesn’t magically increase quality. While layering helps with editing, the sharpness and detail are limited by the source image.
How long does the image to PSD conversion take?
Turnaround depends on image complexity. Simple graphics might take 24 hours, while complex photos with many elements could take 48 hours or more. I’ll provide an estimate after seeing the image.
What exactly do I receive?
After approval and payment, you will receive a fully layered, organized Adobe Photoshop PSD file reconstructed from your original image.
Can you also edit the image after converting it to PSD?
Absolutely! Converting the image to a layered PSD is often the first step. Once it’s layered, I can easily perform further edits like text changes, color adjustments, object removal, etc., as part of my PSD Editing Service. Let me know if you need edits beyond the initial conversion.
